Sigh. I mean "I'm going senile and thought you meant mpeg fiels...".

Anyway, reading a jpg from my Olympus camera works fine, writing it out
with the snippet you proved works and it reads in again. (Both in Squeak
and on my Acorn)

So the plugin at least basically works on my x86 RH7.1 machine.

I also tried the IceAge mpeg clip Yisrael pointed out and it seems to
run just fine, ok even as full screen( a few glitches and sound
artifacts).
