Diego,

Is your 2 million (I think I've got that right??) element array destined 
to store fixed-size integer/float/etc. elements?  If so, you might do 
better with ByteArray or a similar entity that the GC will see as one 
indexed object vs. millions of discrete ones.  Failing that, you 
might try using an indexer of sorts that allows you to keep only the 
objects that are in use in RAM at one time.  Does any of that 
sound applicable?
