This was a start of a UI and functionality for quickly mocking up 
"leica reels" (or "animatics" as they are known in the TV industry). 
Bob Arning did most of the work and would know just what 
functionalities are still functioning ... (BTW, this is still a very 
worthwhile project for someone to get interested in and do.)
