Hmm. Skydiving is a bit difficult from Whistler, since we don't have a 
local airport. It's about a 2 and a half hour drive to the nearest drop 
zone, a fact which eventually forced me to give up jumping.. There's 
not a lot of hang-gliding here either, but they do para-glide off of 
Blackcomb. For surfing you have to go to the west coast of Vancouver 
Island, which isn't too far away, but does involve a ferry.

Kayaking, snowmobiling, and climbing would also be good ways to reduce 
the field. ;-)

Say, did I mention the 20 centimeter rule?

All kidding aside though, it's true. It's not for everyone, but for the 
right sort of person, this *is* a dream job. I'm not getting rich, but 
I love my job, I love my lifestyle. When I first started here my 
commute to the office involved taking the lift up one face of the 
mountain and riding down another, no foolin'. It took a bit longer than 
the bus, but not much, and it was way more fun.
