John-Reed,

You _can_ hang glide in the Whistler area, but there's a lot of
cumulo-granite around, and landing areas tend to have a few too
many large (100ft+) trees :).  Better stick to whitewater rafting.
Squamish, just south of Whistler, has world class sail boarding and
rock climbing too.
