As the medium through which most of the world first learned of
Smalltalk, it was expected that Byte Magazine would mark Smalltalk's
30th anniversary in some way.

http://www.byte.com/documents/s=7612/byt1031873908890/0916_heller.html
is their first official acknowledgement of the occasion, offering a bit
or two of opinion regarding the development, philosophy and place in
history of Smalltalk, and concentrating fairly heavily on Squeak.

Happy Birthday, Smalltalk, and many thanks to Alan, Dan and all those
who followed them, and led the rest of us, toward the future.

Gary
