I'll point out on the mac that osversion returns the version number,  
which started at 1.0.0 in 1984, or
was that 1.0.0g Based on the version number  you can expect to find  
different behavior in the
OS, like is this os-x, or pre os-x since os-x is really mac os 10.0.0
I'll pick d)
