I've never seen the problem.  Hmmm, wait a moment, I also keep the 
"Browse with Pretty Print" turned on.

Let me turn it off.  Sure enough-- Glorp is ugly with it off.  Don't 
know why.  If anybody has a clue, let me know.

In the meantime, like I said, I always keep "Browse with Pretty Print" 
turned on.
