Reason for lack of Oracle driver

No, it didn't go away.. We're rewriting and vastly enhancing an existing 
system that had an oracle database backend.. Luckily we have the luxury 
of starting the new system off with a different DB (it looks like we'll 
be using postgreSQL -- a compromise between technical and political 
concerns).  We will need write/use utilities to move the legacy data 
over at some point, so more work could get done on this then if it makes 
sense, although conceivably we'll be able to get by as is.
