There are a few external UI-building tools such as BobsUI which people 
have worked on to handle this sort of thing... including widgets such as 
pull-down menus, etc.  (Although Squeak already includes most of the 
basic widgets that you'd need, there just a bit more scattered and hard 
to find.)

Hmm, I notice that the 3.0 version of BobsUI doesn't seem to be 
accessible from its SqueakMap location anymore... someone ought to 
upload it to the Swiki if they have a copy lying around.
