Thanks Bert,

I found the settings you mentioned... Alt-Shift-W worked much better for me
than the mouse clicks to get into the Help, etc.

Thanks for referring me to the squeakland.org site also. I joined their list
today, upon realizing there was one there too.

I'm using the version of Squeak that you pointed me to at Squeakland. I
didn't realize there was a different one on the squeak site. Each day the
fog of confusion lifts one more layer. :)

I still didn't get mouse settings set for getting into the halos with just
one click, but I'll try again with it later. I did successfully find the
settings, at least.

That's good enough for now! Thanks again for your help.
