It didn't work (neither mouse button worked after I selected
"swapMouseButtons")... I'm not sure why... Some local reason maybe.

BUT... I saw another option in the "general" preferences that does work well
for me: swapControlAndAltKeys. My fingers are more adept at Ctrl+click than
at Alt+click, at least on this keyboard.

And Bert, I did also figure out how to click into the prefs via the halos
finally, btw. :)

I appreciate everyone's help!
