Hello all-

I was paging through a PC mag at a bookstore and came across the NEC
MobilePro 900- the first new Windows CE "Handheld PC" I've seen in a
while. In general, it had seemed that MS has abandoned consumer products
running Windows CE except for the PocketPC.

The NEC MobilePro 900 is a lot like the previous MP models- it's a
"Handheld PC" - mini-laptop running Windows CE 3.0. It has an 8" screen
displaying at 640 at 240, a full-sized keyboard, a 400 MHz XScale PXA255
(should run Squeak around 18 million bytecodes/sec!), 64 MB RAM and 64 MB
flash space built-in. Hardware is similar to that of the new Zaurus
SL-C7{5,6}0, but a lot bigger!

That said, it's an expensive device- they want $900 for it new! Ouch.
It'd be a neat, although hideously expensive option for someone who wants
a portable Squeak with 8 hours of battery life.
