I just tried it and it's certainly worse with DSound on but the noise is
definitely there even if I turn it off. If you have some example which
demonstrate that there's something bad going on when using DSound I'd be
happy to investigate it. Right now it just sounds as if DSound is just using
a slightly increased volume setting.
