Rather than making yet another image-based registry, I think this 
would be a great use for the "annotations" that are part of the 
SMCard. After all, we *do* have a master registry for SM packages 
already.

I don't know exactly what the plan for these is (presumably there'll 
be some extensible namespace for these?), but this would let the 
author or anyone else add hooks.

Some of them might be examples, or documentation, or links to other 
packages. (or patches, bug reports, opinions, sample projects...)

And they could be shown as part of the SMCard description in SM tools.

Your menu or other way to access these could just iterate through the 
packages and their annotations to grab appropriate items.
