Actually, it's the scrollbars I dislike, particularly the up/down/menu
buttons.  I wouldn't have even mentioned it if there were a way to disable
them, but there isn't - you can turn off the "gradient scrollbars"
preference, but AFAIK there is no easy way to get the original icons back.
