Gentoo ebuild?

Hi,

I emerged the masked ebuild the other day (you just emerge "path_to/.ebuild") and it compiled and installed successfully. When I run it, things come up just like in windows, but then it hangs before I can really click on anything (the googly eyes move at first but then stop) and eventually dies. Gentoo's bug database doesnt really indicate why its masked. I also ran into trouble installing from source the traditional way, though I cant recall right now exactly what the problem was. I'm a total newbie when it comes to squeak, so I've just been lurking here and searching for a solution periodically. If you find one, please post to the list, as will I, if I have any luck.

Michael

Subject:	Gentoo ebuild?

Hello,

I am installing Gentoo on my home machine. There is a masked ebuild
which I haven't yet managed to get emerged.

Is Ragnar still the maintainer? Is that the correct term for Gentoo?

Why is it masked?

Thanks for any help.

If I can't get this figured out. I'll just download the tarball and compile.

I am interested in benchmarking Squeak in Debian Unstable and in Gentoo.
Will be interesting. :)
