  I remember that Philippe Dreyfuss did a French version
(http://squeakfr.swiki.net/2).  However, it leaves many phrases and
words to be translated.

  We did a Japanese version which tried to translate *all* of the
words kids will see.  And, recently Markus Gaelli, Ester Mietzsch and
their group in Germany did a German version based on this Japanese
version.

  So, I'd recommend that you do the similar thing what Markus and
Ester did.  Get the Squeak multilingualization package from SqueakMap,
and edit #addFrenchVocabulary method based on the
#addJapaneseVocabulary.
