The Bug Fixes Archive packages, at least the default configuration that
everybody sees registered in the "open.." menu, load updates via HTTP.
The load-updates functionality relies on HttpUrl >> retrieveContents. 

However I see that HTTPSocket now subclasses from OldSimpleClientSocket.
Has the network-rewrite stuff provided an alternative that I should swap
in?
