The newest version of NetModel will work inside a Jacaranda diagram.  

You must use NetModel connectors and other components to build a model.
 Don't use Jacaranda or the Connectors package connectors if you want
to be able to evaluate the network model properly.

I suspect that not all the Jacaranda functions (import/export?) will
work with NetModel diagrams.
