Well, I am changing SM quite a bit for 1.1 and I will adapt the package
loader in that process.
For example, we are adding releases and a few other things into the
model. This means that a flat list like today probably isn't going to
be... well, enough.

So the short answer is that it will change quite a bit anyway and then
we can address this issue at the same time.
