Squeak Weblog Server - The Challenge

Hi Edgar,

I thought that I'd start in and try to start getting serious about this
thing. I'd like to see it start up here before OOPSLA, something like Oct
11-19. I think it's a pretty well defined, reasonable size thing that can be
knocked out in a short time frame. Here's what I'd like from you:

1) Tell me what time schedule you would like

Here's the way that I'm looking at it: In a perfect world, we'd have 4 or 5
guys each with some well defined task. Everyone would take a couple of
evenings to do their bit, and then spend some time at the end gathering it
all together.

Originally, I wanted my task to be to 1) define the task, and 2) to writeup
some documentation and point out the 'interesting bits' that the developers
implemented. However, if there isn't enough participation I'd be happy to
code :-)

The next part is that so far we have three participants: yourself, Mark
Schwenk,
and Edgar De Cleene. Since you've volunteered to do testing, your
task set seems pretty well defined. I'm sending Avi and Mark a message
similar to
this. As you know, Avi has deep experience in web development which should
be a huge advantage going in.

In part, the reason that it's spread out over the week and weekend is
so that everyone gets their chance to contribute and participate. I'd like
to recruit another participant or two.

With that said, I just wanted to get your feedback as well as get a feel for
how much more of a writeup you need on the task description.

I've put a page on the Swiki for a common place where participants can start
to talk:

Thanks,

Jim Benson
