No. As soon as you need it, some idiot locked the page with 
some strange dumb content, and the guy who could reset
the locked page is on holiday. 
 
This happeded when Croquet was on Slashdot... it took more than
30 hours to get that page resetet...

Then have a Wiki "behind" the front page. Second line.

For a news feed with RSS it is important to have moderation, because
if someone posts something idiotic, it gets transfered to all subcribers.
Editing won't help. And the Front page is too important to get hacked
up everytime we get serious exposure.
