I don't know what you mean by a "desktop application". But Squeak (as 
distributed) does not currently support drawing on any windows but its main 
one.

There are several ways to use other OS windows, though, depending on what 
platform you're using. These are provided by packages that can be found on 
SqueakMap.

Why not just make your morph *be* the world (or occupy the whole world)?
