Actually there is a semi-recent 3.7VM from June 20 (3.7.4b1) for the 
Mac platform on the ftp site at:

ftp://st.cs.uiuc.edu/Smalltalk/Squeak/3.7beta/mac/

(True, it's a bit annoying that you have to dig through the 3.7alpha, 
3.7beta and 3.7gamma directories when looking for a VM...)
