This was just discussed in the thread about duplicating/swapping
modifier keys.  The general consensus in that thread was that it is
better to duplicate control and alt keys on all platforms, than to
selectively switch them on certain platforms.  However, only about three
people participated.  :)

Could you please read that thread and see if you still want to have this
proposed change?  Your proposal would be called "autoSwap".
