Blessings are a feature I added to support the (short-lived, it seems)
Unstable Squeak experiment. The idea is that for each package in a
SqueakSource project, only one version is "blessed" at a given time,
and to bless a new version it must be derived from the previous
blessed version. This imposes a little more synchronization between
developers than the usual branch-at-will approach Monticello takes,
and so is useful for bringing a little bit of structure into projects
with very large developer communities. For most projects, however,
with only two or three committers, it shouldn't be necessary, and
probably just gets in the way.
