BFAV2 Status (Maintainers Needed)

As of late February 2004, the BFAV has a redesigned
reviewer notepad and a very nice tabbed UI (thanks
Ken!). It's pretty usable now. Finally :)

The BFAV 2.x series of releases is approaching
stability at which point it will be a maintenance
project with only incremental enhancements. The BFAV
2.x series needs a maintainer, or team of maintainers,
willing to integrate and release fixes and incremental
enhancements submitted for the BFAV 2.x from the
Squeak community. If you are interested in signing
up, please contact Ken Causey and myself.

As motivation for future BFAV maintainers, let me say
that there are many interesting and useful incremental
enhancements yet to be implemented in the BFAV (see
the "BFAV2 Feature Requests" page on the Swiki for
some ideas); the new maintainer(s) for the BFAV could
do some fun stuff.

The BFAV does *need* new maintainers, by the way; I'm
retiring to "Lead Developer Emeritus" status after the
next release.

I've had a great time developing the BFAV; with lots
of help from lots of different Squeak community
members, I've finally gotten the BFAV to where I
wanted it to be. More importantly, the community is
using it, and we are making progress on harvesting.
That really encourages me. I love Squeak, and believe
that a healthy harvesting process is key to Squeak
flourishing. I hope the BFAV2 continues to be a
helpful tool in that regard, and that it meets the
needs of Squeak community reviewers adequately until
someone invents a better harvesting tool :)

Cheers,
Brent
