Help getting rid of erratic install ("Message not Understand" loop)

Hello,

After installing 3.7 beta on SuSE fom RPMs, and installing several packages, I 
tried to install "Completion Enhancements(3)". I started getting "Message not 
Understand" that keeps going in a loop, even after I exit Squeak and get back 
in - Squeak is no longer usable. Is there a way to interrupt and then remove 
the process?
