They got an impressively long  response from Apple's legal department. 
Anyway, I am bamboozled by the thread and am not going to spend time on
it.  Bert wrote a great response to them anyway.

Anyone who does continue to track debian-edu, however, might want to
keep in mind that there is a lot of collected license information on the
Squeak swiki:

This page would answer most of the questions being raised on that
thread.  Additionally, those guys should feel free to edit the page with
any new information they get.  For example, it would be nice to have a
full copy of that email from Apple on the swiki.
