Package Update Installation Anomalies

Hi all!

Not much time here so I am not quoting at all.

1. The "separate package pool per Squeak version" idea - I really don't
understand it. We can categorize the packages on SM whichever way we
want. We already have categories for Squeak version. We can add
smartness to SMSqueakMap/loader to warn the user etc. What is it we are
not catching? And what would be solved?

2. Andreas reactions on Monticello - IMHO the "sending a full snapshot"
over the line is just a way to keep it simple. Just like I do with SM.
Nothing inherent about that in how Monticello works nor in how SM works.
I assume we could easily start playing with "patches/diffs" etc. But it
is much easier to postpone such things until stuff has settled. That is
at least the reason for me to use the current snapshot model of SM - and
I suspect Avi thinks similarly with Monticello.

Sidenote: There have been tons of fixes/enhs for SM on the list. I do
pick them up, don't worry. I just haven't had much time to do the
integration/release dance lately. Will try soon. If anyone feels hungry
enough to co-maintain SM or at least the loader with me - just raise
your hand! Seriously.

regards, Göran
