hello!
For those who are into running Squeak on a PDA, a new Zaurus model- the
SL-6000L- is up for pre-order on Amazon.com. See it here:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0001W17H2/ref=e_de_a_smtpd/104-4769701-6903960?v=glance&s=electronics&n=507846&vi=tech-data
This particular model has built-in wifi, 64 MB RAM + 64 MB flash, SD and
CF slots, 400 MHz XScale and a VGA screen.
Generally, I'm of the mind that the Linux-based Zaurus line makes for a
crappy PDA in the traditional sense... But they do make great little
Squeak machines! Between the fast hardware and the 640x480 screen, you
have a very capable computer- as long as you're equipped with Squeak. And
unlike WinCE, there is no limit to the size of the image you're using-
I've used some huge images on the Zaurus C7x0 series!
Regards,
Aaron
