Oops, I should have checked the contents of the file before hurredly 
posting the stack... it is because of the connectivity problem.  The 
contents of the Network-IRC-fc.26.mcz file (in my SM cache) are:

error occured retrieving 
http://kilana.unibe.ch:8888/IRC/Network-IRC-fc.26.mcz: Server 
kilana.unibe.ch is not responding

Kind of odd to have this error in the file itself.  Somewhere, either 
SqueakMap or SqueakSource is not doing the right thing...
