I wouldn't be surprised if its a pretty printer issue - the RB operates
on the code saved in the system. If you chose the start-end on pretty
printed text, it might be an interval that is invalid on the original
code.

Any chance?

If so, solution would require asking the pretty printer what it did to
the poor code...
