[BUG] Timspan starting: Date today duration: 0 "gets negative duration"

Hi,

I have a wee fix for this, but I am battling to get BFAV to send mail to  
the list!

Essentially the fix for this is trivial. I will sne dit from my mail  
client now.

The deeper problem Avi refers to about the ambiguouse use of end will  
below will be resolved in 3.8 - I promise.
