Ruby and many other languages look like a landscape made of sand
hills, changing days and nights as the syntax permits to express the
same thing in many different ways. The trouble is that these
languages can't read themselves and one has to keep a map handy,
which is torn into small pieces kept in a bunch of folders.

Smalltalk is a flat landscape, all objects sharing the same syntax,
no keywords and cabalistic symbols hurting the eyes. Objects have no
place to hide, all are spotted on a map that can be browsed at any time.

Smalltalk is so flat indeed that it fits nicely on a memory key,
always ready to make an impromptu demo about Seaside or some other
cool thing.

That's why I stopped to worry about other languages.
