An operation that took 451 seconds with the old VM takes 119 seconds
with the new one I just built.  I believe most of the speed up is from
the LargeInteger performance.

Too bad it's way to slow either way, and that the new VM is
sufficiently experimental that I don't think I should trust my data to
it.
