Yes, it's correct, and used by other languages - see for instance 
Scheme's R5RS, 
http://www.schemers.org/Documents/Standards/R5RS/HTML/r5rs-Z-H-7.html#%_sec_4.1.2, 
where mention is made of expressions which "evaluate ``to themselves''". 
Lots of the writing about Scheme uses the literal term 
"self-evaluating", too.

(Stef even wrote "self-evaluating representation" which hints at a 
cryptic reference to R5RS's notion of external representation...)
