Two real joysticks cause problem

Logitech makes a dual joystick that a friend of mine uses to control an ROV
through VisualAge. He's using the standard Windows DirectInput joystick
stuff, but it doesn't work properly on Win2000, only on WinXP. He loses one
of the axes on one of the joysticks under 2000.

Very strange...
