Hi Doug--

	Yeah, the idea was to figure out what the elements of the current 
subsystems are ("partitioning"), then recompose them in a minimal 
environment, using a packaging system which may or may not be the one 
used to do the partitioning.

	As it happens, my work in creating small snapshots has led to packaging 
technology which is significantly different from that used for the 
partitioning thus far. But we'll burn that bridge when we come to it. ;)
