In other words, you are planting a rallying flag in the ground and
declaring that some powerful people, and some people with useful
resources, have already rallied round that flag.  Good; I think many of
the people on the list are disheartened with the current situation, and
need a flag.  It's not necessarily a coup, as you're not necessarily
leaders.  You will be *leaders* when you have followers.  Until then,
you're a faction.  No less, no more.

For *which* Squeak?  You're assuming nobody will choose to form a rival
faction, and declare that they have Squeak.  You are, I think, stating
that you will make decisions for *your* faction's Squeak.  I don't see
how you can do otherwise, as you would then be claiming to make
decisions for something over which you have no power or control.

I salute you for making the effort - it's long overdue - and I will
rally to your faction's flag for now.  It appears to be the best of the
available options.  However, like many*(?) of the readers of this list,
I will evaluate what's best for me and behave appropriately.  I look
forward to the realisation that I've made a good decision in rallying to
your flag.
