Did anyone consider the 'DJB escape route'? DJB's stuff cannot be  
distributed in Debian either, but installers can. So, to get qmail  
installed, you apt-get install qmail-installer, which in DJB's case  
fetches source code etcetera and in Squeak's case could just fetch the  
package.
