When loading VMMaker into a 3.8-6665 image using the latest version of MC (as
provided by SM, anyway) I get a warning about two methods that seem to be in
the no longer extant class MultiString. To be honest, I had no clue they were
even there.

Post-string-rework, there is no such class. So far as I can see String has a
perfectly ok pair of corresponding methods. What do I do to get rid of the
zombies cleanly?
