I'm running Fedora Core 3 (used 2 before) and XFCE4 and I never saw
such a behavior
my kernel is still from FC2:
Linux aragorn.umim.net 2.6.10-1.9_FC2 #1 Thu Jan 13 17:54:57 EST 2005
i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
my VM is:
3.7b-5 #2 Tue Apr 6 20:38:14 CEST 2004 gcc egcs-2.91.66
Squeak3.7beta of '1 April 2004' [latest update: #5868]
Linux pingu.inria.fr 2.2.19-6.2.7 #1 Thu Jun 14 07:51:10 EDT 2001 i686
default plugin location: /usr/lib/squeak/3.7b-5/*.so
I run various images from 3.6 to 3.9, all OK
regards
