I was purely basing that on some lines in your report claiming that  
file wasn't found; it's so long since I did anything on unix that my  
opinions on the matter are worth the paper they're printed on, maybe.

It's certainly the case that the system isn't yet completely 64bit  
clean. Some plugins need work and there are a number of places with  
#flag: messages indicating incomplete changes. There really hasn't  
been much expression of interest in 64bit stuff since the original  
work was done.
