freetype? I think you meant truetype?
In which case - yes, but how?

Lots of problems with WideString/Unicode/MultiTTCFont will be exposed if people
start using my hacked Shout.
Which reinforces the (very valid) observation you made earlier about excercising
WideString code paths.
