MC1.x uses 'abc' for test cases that involve reading and writing  
author initials. If something goes really wrong in a test run  
sometimes the correct initials don't get restored. That's probably why  
it appeared in Keith's work, and I know it's caused some methods that  
I wrote to appear with 'abc' in the timestamp.
