[squeak-dev] Using Mac OS vm from the command line

I am using a symbolic link to

squeak -> Squeak 3.8.18beta4U.app/Contents/MacOS/Squeak VM Opt

It requires a full path the to image, it cannot open an image in the PWD
is this expected behaviour?
