I'm much agree on it. This is one of the major reason which stops me  
and a lot of users from using Squeak.

I was happy using unicode support on win in 3.10. But after that I  
switched to Mac. Don't even know what about linux.

Unicode is major, and I think it's a big barrier for non-english new  
comers.
