It occurs to me that a great way for the non-gurus like myself to contribute
would be to "register" as said testers, making our various platforms
"available" for testing and feedback prior to a release.  I'm sure there is
testing in place already, but you could have lists of people that get a
request to "try this out," with some reasonable expectation that they do so.

Like I said, maybe this is already done.
